I am a McKenzie  research fellow at Asia Institute, the University of Melbourne. Prior to my current role, I worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Asia-Japan Research Organization, Ritsumeikan University and as a course instructor at the College of Global Liberal Arts, a dual degree program  with the College of Asia and the Pacific at the Australian National University (ANU). I received my PhD in Politics from Murdoch University, Australia and remain affiliated as an Honorary Research Fellow at the Indo-Pacific Research Centre, Murdoch University.
